Rose Mountain

MANAGEMENT

4.gif (812 bytes)

The residents of Rose Mountain make up the management body. It is their role to maintain the general running of Rose Mountain in accordance with the founders vision and instruction. There is only one role that stays the same in this organisation, that of The Founder, all the others flow and change as the waters of life move this way and that. Basically whatever is needed is established.

Note: All positions held at Rose Mountain are totally voluntary and no one is paid for their services.

The Founders

John (deceased) and Jali

The main role of The Founder is one of sharing a vision and the direction of that vision. It was the founders goal to stay behind the scenes, initialising creative projects that could be used by others to enhance their own personal growth through applying their personal practice to these projects. Jali loves the saying "The simple things in life" and believes it is in the everyday little things where a true lasting depth of spiritual practice can be established and maintained. Jali did not really want to create an organisation where people merely participated in the rewards of a lot of hard work, she inspired people to be part of the process by staying in the background herself, yet giving direction and allowing the people who wanted to participate to take up the ball and run with it. She wanted to create an amazing organisation that could run itself and not be reliant on her for its continuance. She wanted the idea to be established in the hearts of others who could maintain, support and expand it themselves. That is probably a good way to describe Jali's Role, she is the coach or trainer who directed her team to play ball. Since Johns passing, Jali has been more hands on in the management of Rose Mountain, establishing various non profit businesses to help in raising funds for the various projects we have going. We now have a successful therapies, Art Gallery, Product Labelling, Cleaning  and Catering Business all of these non profit and worked solely by volunteers! It is her hope though that one day again she can withdraw from being so actively involved in management and go back to where she loves to be, in the background. The simple fact is though, she does what needs to be done and I'm sure everyone involved has appreciated her being around more of recent times!

Administration Assistant

 Hanna May (BA) JP

Hanna is an invaluable asset to Rose Mountain. She has amazing skills in the research area and loves to talk to people! Hanna's role is one of working closely with Jali and basically finding out how each of Jali's ideas can come to fruition by hours and hours of laborious research and paperwork and submissions! At some point Jali decided that it was time for Rose Mountain to establish a relationship with the local community and it has been Hanna's bright personality and good communication skills that have seen this come to fruition. We now have a good working relationship with the local PCYC, Mudgee Drug Action Team and local businesses.

Stores, Inventory Manager and Research Assistant: Amanda Whiles

As the organisation has expanded over the years, we have gathered quite a lot of "things" as well as the need to maintain supplies and purchase equipment has come to the fore. The Stores and Inventory Manager takes care of this, from ensuring we have enough soap powder to wash with to recording new equipment we have purchased. Amanda also incredibly invaluable when it comes to research and assists Rose Mountain in this way.
